My girlfriend and I are adopting a 5-7 year old Basset named Jackson on Saturday!

We are SO excited! I look forward to being a part of your community!

So what do I need to know? Just kidding, sort of lol. We have read up and are pretty well prepared.

I had a Basset when I was a kid. I named him The Flash! Best name ever for sure.

Welcome! I have a Jackson, too, tho mine's not a full basset- he's a basset/beagle mix. Yours sure looks like a handsome boy!

We went and met him today! Oh my he is gorgeous! He's very fit and and loooooooves him some lovin! We threw the ball around and I almost died watching him jump up and pounce on that ball! It was hilarious. But as soon as treats were introduced... He was done playing lol. He was very layed back and even talked to us a bit. So excited!
