Seems to be very common. Our two climb up the chairs and sofa and also us if we're sitting on the sofa. My husband calls them the 'mountaineering Bassets'. Must be to do with wanting to see that little bit higher!! :-)

even if never, it's a matter of time before they begin to craft very sophisticated ladders out of furniture.
We discovered that CB was stepping on a chest on the floor, up to a butcher's block, up to the counter to get to the flour... He's decorated the house three times with entire 5lb bags of all purpose flour. |

Oh my gosh! That's all so true you guys! I just caught Emma up on the edge of the couch last night! I was too shocked to take a picture as I had to hustle her to get off before she falls!!
