Arthur has been in destroying mode lately and has tore up crayons, some wood letters that I had painted, and a couple of wrestling figures. He has a rawhide bone but doesn't seem interested in it except for carrying it around and burying it somewhere in the house.
![]() So my question is...does anyone have any good suggestions for a chew toy/treat for a Basset? I want something that's going to keep him happy and occupied! |

Hard femur bones with fillings? They last forever and I just need to add the fillings ( peanut butter, liver) once they are done. All the other chew toys or squeak toys do not last more than a day or two in our house.

We use the hard femur bones and they don't care if it is filled. Also the kong toys and a plastic water bottle in an old sock tied at the top.

Both of mine love raw hides (I don't get the "meat" coated ones as they make an awful mess) and Kongs filled with peanut butter or pumpkin pie filling.
Ellie has also just discovered some new "fun" chew toys.... my ponytail and daddy's underpants... she aerated them for him! (both of these new "toys" will stop asap!) UGH! Tonight she is especially Frisky... tormenting anything and everything... ahh, the nature of a puppy!
