Another lurker introducing themselves!

Hi I thought I would introduce myself after lurking for around two years. I got my basset Penny almost two years ago and have found the discussions on here invaluable for helping me to raise a well tempered, healthy basset.
I have had the help of my husband to create an account for me on here as he has become fed up of me saying 'i've read something on the basset forum...' so he felt I should get more involved on the boards.
Also my friends/family have become basseted out with pictures and stories of Penny's antics so thought I could share them with likeminded basset lovers instead.
Penny still goes training once a week and the trainer calls her PennyLou and thinks she is the best in her class. She also wants to include her on her website and scoffs now when people say that Bassets are untrainable. I am very proud of Penny and she behaves so well when we are out. I'm brimming with stories to tell you but will stop for now.

It's lovely to finally have a voice on here to say hello.

Hello and welcome.
As soon as I got my little boy I joined this site straight away. If I have any issues or problems I'm straight on here. The knowledge amongst the basset lovers is absolute amazing.
Also I think it saves money on vets bills. I'm a worry over the slightest thing with joey, if it wasn't for the people on here I would have had him at the vets loads haha.

You best get uploading your pictures so we can all check out penny

Glad you finally joined the group. Yes that's why I like dog forums my family doesn't understand either.

hmm, well I did have a picture under my name but it doesn't seem to want to show up on my thread. Any suggestions would be greatfully recieved with this. I do have an album of Penny on our first holiday in Cornwall though so feel free to check it out in the meantime!

Go to the post reply and click on the thing that looks like a paperclip. It will open and you can find your pictures. Then click on upload
