SO GROSS Kitty "chocolate"

Copper is a perfect basset. Except for when he's gross. I don't know how long this has been going on, but I've noticed it for the last month or so.

When the cats use the litter box (which is too tall for him to get into), Copper runs over to them and starts licking their butts to get the last bit of chocolate gold from them. He's like MMMMM CAT BUTT.

EW. Please tell me I'm not alone in the nasty basset/cat obsession. Or better yet, tell me it can be stopped!

I'm surprised he's not cleaning the cat box as well.

Noba can't get to my litterbox, I keep it in the laundry room with a baby gate up. Hes tried to lick the cats booty, but Jax doesn't put up with it... Noba has ended up with a nose full of claws more than once... Lol

I haven't encountered this (but I don't own a cat!) but Cooper does love to give his own business a satisfying sniff afterwards, he's very proud

Our litter boxes are in the basement, where Molly is not able to get to them. One of the many pleasures of going out of town to visit family is that nobody else has keeps their cat boxes secure, and Molly usually gets away with a little snack.

My Fred loves cat chocolate too. If our cat goes in the litter box, we have to find before he does, otherwise he will eat it and cat litter will be all over the house. I've even caught him digging it up from the garden before.

Cat candy. I have the litter box in the laundry room with the door shut and I had a doggie/kitty door installed on that door so the cat can get in and out of the laundry room. My cat would throw punches if Riley got close to his butt.
