Front nails have always worn down reasonably well, but rear haven't. Asked our vet how he would deal with our youngest as he fought when having them done & was told that two would hold him down & third would cut, decided I wasn't going to traumatise him further so patiently have done them over the years - at one time it could take me over an hour - now he will happily allow me to cut, & do them once a week to keep tidy. Don't like long nails, so much easier to do a little at a time & can keep an check on their feet.
