Tonight Ramsay attacked my fiancé we were trying to get him on the cage and he had a snack to get him going. Ramsay was eating a treat already. Ramsay he was going to take his treat away and jumped on him. Bitted him and took skin on and the ate it !!! I had to take my fiancé to the ER and he has 7 stitches and several shots put on him. He wants nothing to do with him and is tired of him because is not the first time he attacked him but this time it went to far. He can't afford getting him behavior training. I actually thought he was getting better since we were more careful when it comes to food around him. I love Ramsay so much but I can't let this go on. My fiancé comes first. He got traumatized at doggie daycare and ever since he is super protective when it comes to food. Does anyone know of a place I can place Ramsay ? In the Tampa Bay Area. He is very lovable and good dog but no one can't mess around with his food. I don't want this to get Worst or do this with anyone else.

This is not a dog you can place safely. If he caused that much damage then unfortunately he probably should be put down. You can't put him with someone witout telling them how he is and what he does and has done in the past.

Nobody else wants a dog that bites either, especially one that does that amount of damage. A rescue cannot take him and place him because of the liability issues. You cannot pass this problem off to someone else, if you can't work with him the kind and ethical thing to do is have him euthanized yourself so at least he can pass in the arms of those he loves.
If you try to pass him off, the most likely outcome is that someone will get hurt and he will be euthanized by strangers. I'm sorry.

Tomorrow we are going to the vet and we will do whatever is best for him. I totally agree about not wanting him to hurt others but just the fact of putting him down really hurts the most.

It is always difficult to put down a healthy dog.
Fingers crossed that a solution can be found.

Is there no way to do payments with a behaviourist? Just an option over euthanasia. I would hope a behaviourist would be understanding in these hard financial times.

I've been through this recently with my beagle, Austin. It was the most painful decision we ever had to make to put him down, but it was the right one, and I wish that the person we adopted him from (he had bitten her twice, too) had made the right decision for him first. If you pass the "problem" on, you're only causing someone else pain. Know that some people won't understand if that's the decision you have to make. Like others have said, if you have found a good behaviourist and the barrier is money, try to see if they'll work with you on that.

I had to do this once. He bit a child's face. It's heart breaking.

Hearing this absolutely breaks my heart. However, the others are correct, it you can't get him help, then putting him down rather than passing on the problem is the right thing to do... no matter how heart wrenching.
Although, I do suggest, if you can hold out a few days before making the ultimate decision, contact every single trainer, behaviorist, vet, rescue, etc... to see if you can find someone to work with the dog and you (financially). I would like to believe that there is someone in your area that is doing this work for the love of dogs rather than profit. I wish you, your fiance and Ramsay the best of luck.
