I've had my super little eight year old rescue, Al, for about six weeks now and except for a few little housebreaking issues things are going great.
We are totally in love and the adjustment has been effortless. I'd noticed that whenever I came home and said, "Hi!" his left front paw automatically popped up. So last night I was playing around with him and I said, "Hi Five, Al!" and that massive paw shot right up and we whacked my hand to his paw and he get incredibly excited. He acted like he had FINALLY broke through the communication barrier and got me trained! What a relief for him!

So sweet! I took Hubert to work with me and was trying to show everyone how I taught him to play dead but if he doesn't get a treat right away he will just run through all the tricks he knows. Sit, lay down, shake, rollover, play dead, repeat. Just keeps going through his whole bag of tricks until he gets what he wants.
