My fiance wanted to name Hoss Flash. One, because that was Rosco P Coltrane's Basset from the Dukes of Hazzard. Two, his last name and my soon to be last name is Gordon. So he would have been Flash Gordon. I won when I suggested Hoss, being that one of my fiance's favorite shows growing up was Bonanza and his favorite character was Hoss, he agreed. I am so glad we named him Hoss, it fits him perfectly.

These names are great! I loved the name Bertie for cooper but that was his dads name and the owner wanted to get the pup to recognise his name - before that they were calling him Tupac lol. I also really wanted him called Dyson, after the vacuum but the OH wanted to call him Sheldon, he loves the Big Bang theory, so we compromised and settled on Sheldons surname, Cooper!
God help any children we name :P Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

Fun thread to read!
We wanted a pretty little name for Emily, our scaredy-cat droopy girl. Then, we took her sister from the second owner who couldn't keep her, and her name then was Ellie May. As Emily and Ellie was a bit much, even though they are twins , Ellie Mae morphed into Mabel, who is such a "Mabel, get off the table, the money's for the beer" type o'gal.

Olive was almost Tulip. I was the only one who loved it, though.
Olive came to me very suddenly while in the car on the way to pick her up with my little sister. She thought it rocked, as did I, so that was that! ![]() Sent from my iPod touch using PG Free

Jenny was almost Kylie. Monty was almost Tesla. Monty was named after a character on Sanctuary/Jack the Ripper. His name was Montague John Druitt. So Monty's full name is Montague Druitt (last name). Jenny is Genevieve. She doesn't really have a middle name.
Monty also is pretty much house trained, but if he feels like it and isn't in the mood to go outside he will pee on the floor. Thankfully that it rarely these days.

Abby (AT
was named for Abby on NCIS (love the show). IF I get another boy, it is definitely Jetro (as in Leroy Jethro Gibbs). Next girl will have to be Zeva (from the show) or Sara (from Mom) Damn! I need more dogs just to fill the names!!! Like I said, I would have to make the entire bedroom floor a mattress, but I am OK with that

Molly already had her name when we got her, and since it suited her so well, we didn't change it.
A few people call her Flash because of the dog on the Dukes of Hazzard. Flash Gordon would be an awesome name. You might have to get another basset just so you can use that name. |
