Good for you that you found a Basset-aware trainer This is where I met a brick wall with obedience training one of mine. NO FOOD TREATS = forget it with Bassets. It's all about food, and making them think what you want was their idea all along. Which is why when I hear 'stubborn' I always suggest that this is simply because the owner hasn't found the key to what makes their hound tick - same with Whippets!!
