New beds for Jake and Ellie (shhhh don't ruin the surprise) plus lots of treats and toys (and Christmas dinner left-overs!).
Grandma has already delivered Ellie's own stocking ready to be stuffed! However, I have a bit of trepidation on putting up a tree with a pup (Ellie). Jake is "good" as long as I don't put breakable ornaments near the bottom of the tree.... His tail is Killer! Oh, and no gifts can be put under the tree until it is time to open them... Jake likes to Help whether his name is on the tag or not! I fear Ellie will deem every ornament as a new toy to be conquered! I think the tree will go in the upstairs living room this year where it won't be left alone during the day with the hounds!

We get our tree today. I'm hoping Lyla doesn't get into it, but it isn't in her nature. Cooper was really good last year, so I have hope... It is Lyla's 1st Christmas and Cooper's 2nd. I ordered some "interactive" puzzle toys for them (probably more fitting a border collie, but one can hope). My kids are big, so the pups are more fun to shop for!

. They would be the best oldies together. Lula loves wrapping presents - although she's useless and puts nail holes in the paper and steals the tape. She unwraps all the presents when it's time. We have a little tree up out of Lula's reach and presents are added last minute.Presents - Lula will get a new hand puppet - she loves them especially when they say hello Ta-llu-lah she goes mad. poor Shep her Border Collie puppet is missing a tail and an ear... Margot will get some plush toys that don't squeak. She likes to carry them around saying mine mine mine. And Izzy is getting a nifty ramp that I designed and OH is making out of airplane technology (exciting) so we don't have to lift her on and off the sofas and beds. And a few toys she can destroy in not . two seconds. I'd love to get her a new bionic back...

No kids of my own (3 step kids - all adults now, a husband, folks & brother) No longer exchange gifts with folks and brother (although I get them something anyway!) Husband.... impossible to shop for, buys whatever he wants when he wants it.... My biggest pleasure, shopping for my hounds! Am I odd?
