But from their point of view, the growling "works" - the men leave. Every time.

Ah well all is well at the minute, maybe Bella was having an off day, she's been her usual self the past few days.
My next door neighbour did mention that we'd had a few gypsies coming round and she'd seen them looking at Bella who was on her windowsill, so it could of been that that's upset her. I'd better watch out the gypsies could be a real threat to my little dog, though I had her spayed and microchipped so she's of no real value to anybody who wanted to steal her. Plus they'd have a job catching her. She can't get on the windowsill now but still manages to lay on the back of the chair so she can see out!! |

That is such a good article. I think Bassets are the most intelligent breed, they manage to manipulate us into thinking they're not very clever, so we'll leave them to snooze on the windowsill all day. I've accepted that Bella doesn't enjoy Agilty class but loves the social aspect of it, so we're back to obedience classes over winter because she gets to see her friends and gets more treats than usual. When she's done something well she'll get maybe 2 or 3 treats I find that makes her work a little bit harder for me because she thinks it will happen again. It's called being manipulated Bella .
