We are behind here cuz the person's working almost all Thanksgiving weekend and it has been a hectic week... poo!
Well after 3 days of diarrhea... on Thanksgiving I had 5 bouts that day, and then I became pukey today, threw up 6-7 times.... today I got diagnosed with New Monia. (my person says it begins with a 'P' but I refuse to believe her... that doesn't make any sense). I will post more about it later. The vet said for me to use a nebulizer from the drugstore. Does anyone have one of those? how much do they cost and can you get over-the-counter? anyone have certain brands you like? now the drumroll question.... anyone tried using a nebulizer on a basset??? lol! here's a pic of me getting subQ fluids medontlikes. see that grapefruit size ball on the side of my neck? that is where the fluids went. i look like the hunchback of notre dame sometimes.

Oh its so sad to see a sick Basset. I wish we could explain things to them so they're not confused and scared. Hopefully it will all be over soon, and things will be back to normal.

Oh Wormie.....you look so miserable...wish I could give you a hug...My sons both have asthma...they used to get the inhalers over the counter but am of the opinion that they took them off the market and now they get them through a prescription. They have to inhale it and hold it for a short time....can you do that Wormie???? They also take the pills which works wonders for them but not sure if they would work for short term....everything crossed here for you....keep us posted.

You might try one of those inhaler tubes they use with people who can't take it all in one breath. Attach that to the top of a half gallon milk jug. Kind of like a face mask.

Poor Wormie you're going to get a complex about Turkey Day. Try & be a good boy take your medicine, drink lotsa water, & make sure to soak up all your therapeutic snuggles. Once your tummy is feeling better peanut butter will kick that pneumonia to the curb. Get well soon.
Hugs, PB |
