We went to my nieces house for Thanksgiving dinner - so Maddie will get a bit of turkey tonight instead. There's no danger of her stealing pies or anything else - she doesn't take food from the table or counter surf at all.

Me too... but I didn't know if anyone would get the reference unless they are from Ohio! You know where to find me at noon tomorrow!... My (lame) husband will be busy watching the lesser game of VT v. VA (go VA... man I HATE VT... that is all you hear about down here.... like there isn't another college football team.... really burns me since VT sucks and OSU is undefeated!) Sorry.... back to basset issues!

We drove from Pennsylvania to Michigan (yeah, you Ohio folks....all you are to us is the long, boring part of the road trip!!) and Molly was awesome in the car, as usual.
Molly did get some Thanksgiving leftovers, but not a whole dinner or anything. I did keep her out of the horse biscuits this time, and didn't let her even get close to a seasonal delicacy out at my parents' place--gut piles. When the hunters field dress deer, they just leave these piles of guts out in the woods, and my parents' dogs like to snack on them. Molly seems like the type to overindulge and not just have a little taste, so I kept her far away from them. |

Way to go Bucks!!!!! (OK enough football)
Grandma sent home the gizzards and such for Jake and Ellie. Unfortunately, they haven't had it yet. I came down ill thanksgiving night, doing better today, they will get the good stuff tomorrow. @Wioleta...I know what you mean about the deer cleaning "nasties". Daddy usually does it in the field (at the farm) unless he finds a deer out at the back of our property (ewww!) Its all we can do to restrain them then he is cutting up a tenderloin into butcher paper (personally, the smell makes me ill) but the dogs go absolutely nuts!
