Hi!
I'm not a many yet but thats why I'm asking you to maybe help me find a goo breeder within driving distance of NY. We r planing to get a puppy in two months time. We already have a name to her(Lola) and can't wait to get her. Pls let me know if you know anyone. All basset puppies are cute but if you want one that when it grows up actually looks like a basset should,long ears, short legs, lots of skin, read the standard on the BHCA website then you have to buy from a breeder who is breeding for the those qualities and take into consideration the pedigrees of the dogs being bred.You can't just go to any breeder and buy a showable puppy,you have to find one who shows their dogs and has the pedigrees to back up the quality of their dogs.A show potential puppy is going to cost more,normally, than a pet puppy. We are giving you the information you are going to need to seek out a reputable breeder.You could opt to buy from someone who has inferior quality puppies and that is what you will get,short ears longer legs and not many of the qualities that set bassets apart from beagles ,that is up to you.

I got Darla from Rex Ellis in Coalport pa. They will deliver to you also! They drove 4 hours to us and only charged us 35 dollars I believe. They are so helpful and still contact us to check up and her. His email is Rexmellis@yahoo.com
