Benson is 15 months old and lost his friends within the last month. His sac is still there and it has only freaked out my Grandma, who couldn't understand why he was so wrinkly in that area and asked if it was a basset thing... bless her.

With the two oldies I had to have done (prostate problems - not cancer) their sacs, which weren't removed and this was years ago, both shrank but as I recall, it did take a few months (certainly not years!!). I'd never consider neuticles - it wasn't needed in any case!

oh man i take forever to come and post and here it is again, neuticles!!! LOL
bowser had his off at 4 months, and the sac (hehe) did retract. There is still a spot i worried about, where the skin made a tiny pocket. I check it once in a blue moon to see if he's got anything stuck in there... but now it's retracted so much it's fine, it's like a little bellybutton. Tell her to give him a few months, like 6. The shape will change, though it will never shrivel up as small as a dog's who's had it done at an earlier age. also, i think they always leave the outter skin sac (hehe) they just remove the innards.
