Molly was waking me up in the wee hours asking to go out, and as someone else mentioned, I'd rather get up and let her out than step in a puddle when I get up. What I decided to do was to make sure to take her out later at night. She seems to be OK for about 8 hours at night, so I take her out at 10 pm or later, waking her up if necessary. She'll get up out of a deep sleep for a treat.
