Olive honestly seems to bark more than howl. Play fighting, people on the sidewalk that she sees through the fence and people at the door get barked at, she cries when my husband and I leave or stand just outside the door and when she needs to pee in the morning. Howling is reserved for only epic situations...in her opinion, of course.

Maddie has accidentally bayed a few times, and at 5 years old, she has never, not once, howled in our hearing, although she did apparently bay and howl when she was boarded. There were two beagles there also, and she followed their lead, lol.

Edee howls when I howl at her. Hers goes from deep to a high screech. Its hilarious. AND THEN, my jack russell tries to join in too and his is so high pitched that it just trails off. I die laughing.
