Default Mr. Buddylee Is Part Of The Wildlife.

Mr. Buddylee is being watched by the wildlife: a Heron, Pelican and lots of black Vultures. He enjoyed most of his walk at the Inglis Bypass Spillway (about 6 miles from his home), except for the sand-spur filled grass just east of the gushing water. Our Hound’s padded paws become a pin cushion for the little stickers. It’s hard to spot them in the grass before it’s too late and then the 50 pound pup needs to be ... please visit: The Adventures Of A Lovable Basset Hound - Where Is Buddylee?

Sand spurs are a painful problem to dogs here in Florida. Does anyone have any solution for removing the stickers?

Oh, Buddylee, be vigilant of those Birds... saw the Hitchcock movie and they are scary!

(Sorry, no advice for the sand spurs (unless they make basset flip-flops)

If the flip flops slide in between Buddylee's toes, I don't think that will work. Have you ever tried to massage between your hound's toes?

Message or Massage between toes?

Oddly, both Jake and Abby are OK with me messing (rubbing) their feet. We only have an issue when the nail clippers come out.... sometimes if you sneak up when they are sleeping, it is OK.... otherwise, I might as well cut off the whole foot!

I clip 2 or 3 at a time until Buddylee realizes he has better things to do. Cutting his nails is definitely a multi-phase (or multi-day) activity.

austin and lulu didn't mind the massaging between the toes thing.
oddly, both of them would lick their feet while you did it.
