WOW! What a crazy month! First there was Christmas! That was a lot of fun! Then came New Year's and we spent it with Mom at a party. Then the next weekend we went to Tennessee with Mom for a cousin's wedding. It was so much fun. We got to play in the woods and find all kinds of good smells! The next week Mom's Grandpa died. She was very very sad. She still cries sometimes. We had to go back to Tennessee a week after the wedding for his funeral. Mom says it was ironic that we had a wedding and a funeral in the same week. I'm not sure what ironic means, but it sure was a lot of time in the car.

You will never guess what happened next! We got home from Tennessee and Mom started her new job. She seems much happier now. She isn't as grumpy when she comes home from work now. Plus, she comes home for lunch! That's so cool! Finally, we made the yearly trip to the Doctor. The Doctor said we were the textbook perfect picture of Basset Hound health. I could have told her that! THEN SHE TRIED TO KILL US!!!!! It hurt so bad! There were sharp pains all over my body! One in each hip and then in my shoulder. Mom says it was important to be shot, but I just don't see why you would want to shoot us... Maybe I misunderstood?

It seems like we sure missed a lot while we were gone. We hope everyone else had a calm and fun time!

Norman thinks that the Vet Lady is pretty nice she loves bassets and has owned them in the past. I luvs the treats and petting and praise.
