Default Nice Basset Article

I stumbled across this nice article about a basset hound lover and his hounds. Here is the start of the article to give you a preview:

"I married into the basset-hound breed.

One day in Twin Falls, Idaho, after running the Snake River Canyon from rim to rim, I met a slender, young woman at a post-race picnic. Her basset hound grabbed the sandwich in my hand, and the owner, Ann, soon claimed my heart."

I hope you enjoy the article. I got a little teary eyed reading it!

Wonderful article....I've had alot of different dogs and am convinced that with bassets, which really are a bit different, you either love them to the point of being somewhat crazy or you don't have any use for them. They really aren't for everyone but the ones who they are right for are in for an incredible experience.

It’s a beautiful story – thanks for sharing – it’s amazing isn’t it, how healing puppies always find us and we don’t find them...

thanks for posting the link, really enjoyed that. Barney's Pal has it right, you either love the breed to bits or don't get them at all.

i love them to bits

A bit off topic, but my folks came to visit today, loved on their grand puppies, then Mom informed me there is a basset at Angels of Assissi. I really can't have another dog (both law and husband) but..... but..... Is anyone in the Western Virginia (Roanoke) area that wants/needs a/or another basset?

He is actually a basset/beagle mix

COOPER's Web Page

Lots of other find breeds/mixes there. Unfortunately, lots of Pits (so misunderstood)

What a great article! I'd love to give Maemae a try at tracking if I thought we had time to train/participate!
