My God, houndmama! I am coming over to your house to eat tonight! I literally did laugh out loud with the hot dogs and beans! Lou would have been in heaven!
I used cheese, American cheese, cut in half and wrap the pill in that. He was always hungry, so it always worked. |

I wrap up pills in deli meat sometimes, particularly turkey because Penny loves it so much. Also, the beef Canine Carryouts. I break them in half and smush the medicine in the middle. You gotta be careful because sometimes it'll split down the middle, but it usually works since she gulps them down so fast.

Maggie is on three pills at the moment (bacterial infection) and we used to be able to give it in a slice of cheese. Both girls LOVED cheese, until now. Maggie won't touch it now and looks at me like I've lost my mind. So now it's open the mouth and shove it down the throat. The daddy says I've ruined cheese for her. :-(
