Default A sister for Boomer???

Well, the basset bug has hit hard in the Boomer household, and I want to get a companion for Boomer. Been searching and searching, and no bassets that have really piqued my interest. I mean, you just KNOW if it's the right one, does that make sense?

There was one, a male about the same age as Boomer, at a rescue about 40 minutes from here, but they already had a home visit scheduled with someone else. Was my heart set on a basset, or would I consider another dog? Erm, forgive me for being picky, but I want another basset.

Then I found one at a humane society about 1 1/2 hours from here. I emailed them, and they were wonderful. Answered all my questions, and you could feel their enthusiasm thru the email.

This is the girl: Petfinder Adoptable Dog | Basset Hound | Grand Island, NE | Biscuit

So Boomer and I are going to travel to see Biscuit (love the name) tomorrow, and take it from there.

It's so hard not to get my hopes up, but I am hoping this works out. Wish us luck!!

Be prepared(which I believe you are) she have been hard to housebreak etc,you know the situations they may have dumped her for ,on the other hand they were obviously NOT basset people or they would have worked it through. she has a very sweet face and looks rather young,I hope she goes with you she would never be abandoned again.

Bubbad, you are right, I have considered everything, and will work through anything needed. :-)

They think she is around 2 years old, very close in age to Boomer who will be 2 in April.
