I was doing some shopping online for dog treats and came across Dog Grass (Barley Grass). They say it's a treat for dogs, but is it really just a gimmick? Has anyone tried to give it to their basset? It looks cool because you can grow it and then cut it for your pet.

So, don't most animals just eat grass and then throw it up? lol
I have seen pet grass sold in the store and i just have never had an animal that would eat it and then *not* throw it right back up.

Living surrounded by wheat and barley fields (in the summer and already growing for later on this year) I can't imagine Bassets wanting to eat such prickly stuff... ours eat grass but I have never seen them eating barley, although they like to run through it trying to chase the young hares they can smell! I just hope the farmer doesn't see my clip!!!
