Smile Soooo happy I could cry!

Weigh day for Ethel pickle today, 8 weeks since she adopted us, 10 weeks since she was pulled into rescue. She weighs in at 35lbs! A far cry from the 21 when the rescue found her. Never misses a meal, but is the first Basset I've owned that isn't food crazy!

She makes my day every day, so appreciative, loving and forgiving.

Smile!!!

Never in my 20 years of dog ownership have I ever wanted to wish I wake up to a fat dog! Only thing is she's my velcro dog, always laying on me on the couch, in bed, she's getting heavy!

Whether it is our imagination or not there is not a better feeling than the appreciation a rescued hound seems to give.

Way to go Ethel! Jake and Abby suggest good old fashioned Sausage Gravy (daddy makes the best) Not only does it taste great, but helps maintain those fluffy curves! Not too much tho'. Mom says too much of a good thing... but what does she know!
