I sincerely apologize if this is in the wrong forum as I couldn't find an introduction section.
My name is Jenn, I'm married to a wonderful Coastie Medic, and we have two rescued turtles, a rescued miniature macaw, a white bellied brown hedgehog, and two wonderful bassets, Murphy and Droopy. My husband and I were originally fostering Droopy, but ended up falling so much in love that we were labeled foster fails by the rescue we helped as soon as we got him. ![]() We've had Murphy since he was a puppy, and he was originally named after the Dropkick Murphies. We soon realized he was named after Murphy's Law. I look forward to meeting new people on here! |

Welcome Wallace clan. We were failed fosters with Daisy. She was about 10 months when we started to foster her and almost a year old when we adopted her. She turned 2 on Jan 10, 2012

Welcome! My uncle once had a basset hound named Murphy. When I was contemplating adopting a basset hound he told me this story: For a few weeks, my uncle would be in his shop working in the morning (cabinet maker). He would always hear ol' Murph start barking at the same time every day, so one day he watched him. Murph would start at the house, crouch down low, and stalk his way through the tall grass for an acre or so tracking something. He would then start barking for 30 seconds, pounce onto something, and begin eating it. It turns out Murph was a "turd eater," as my uncle so fittingly called him, stalking his poo from the prior evening before devouring it. Nasty, but darn hilarious to envision the entire episode.
