My Frodo is 18 months old and the baby of my 4 bassets. We aren't sure he will ever grow up- still hard core puppiness! He also supplies the most family entertainment- from napping on top if his crate, annoying his elders... and humans with bark, bark, come play, bark... stealing empty Doctor Pepper bottles... well you get the idea. Just a busy little guy. The Rule is he must be crated when a human is not around. The other houndies are just fine loose in the house...maybe an occasional pee marking by our oldest male (just to prove he's da boss) but overall I could leave them home alone for hours and they would be fine (the UPS guy might pee his pants if he rang our doorbell though). My husband forgot "The Rule" today... went outside to work in the yard giving the dogs free reign in the house. Frodo apparenty wanted to watch and climbed up on the dining room table to look out the window... and I guess he needed a snack while he watched... He chewed up my camera...several receipts... a jump drive... and I'm not sure what else we might be missing... My husband is most sad as he is now in the dog house with Frodo...

Winston wants you to know that jump drives are quite tasty, as he has learned much to his Daddy's dismay. I have Frodo's partner in crime right here!

We have the same rule for Ninja. Reading stuff like this though, makes me feel like she's an angel.

I'll third or 4th the tastiness of the jump drives. I also like to eat iPod ear buds... and pretty much anything else I can get in my mouth while my parents aren't watching.

I haven't chewed on an xbox controller, but I did accidentally destroy a pair my dads headsets for xbox. Mom was in the office and heard a crash and came out and there i am minding my own business with the headset in my mouth and the wires still in the xbox. It wouldn't have been a problem if he had just gotten the wireless ones!!!

Bella likes shoes, and has been casing out a pair of my lovely summer wedges for a while now, and finally after patiently waiting for weeks, she saw an opportunity and I now only have one functioning shoe in that pair. She was so proud that she'd hunted down and killed it, when she eventually brought it to me, I didn't have the heart to tell her off. I did tell my daughter off though for leaving the door to the shoe cupboard open.!!
We're onto the 4th laptop mouse since she arrived in our household and USB leads are a fave too. |
