Default Smarty Pants

Gee whiz! Today has been rainy, so I spent most of the day cleaning. I put Moses' toys in a new basket so that he can easily reach them (old basket's sides were too high).

Well, I finally get to sit down and relax and the little ratso starts to take every toy out, one by one, bringing it to me to throw. When I toss the toy, instead of fetching it, he goes and gets another one out of the basket! Took me a little while before I realized what he was doing, smart aleck! Lol!!

I know funny isn’t it the way they need every toy out and know what every toy is? My friends that come over always comment how it looks like I have a toddler living here with all the toys Mabel drags out every day. I don’t think they believe me when I tell them I put them away every morning when I get up. Or sometime Lucy will go to the toy basket and cry while she’s throwing toys out and over her looking for one particular one. It’s another trait that falls under go figure and just another thing to love about them.

Everytime I try to put Barney's toys away in his basket he proceeds to pull them all out.

Simons favorite game is a mix between fetch and tug of war. I'll throw it..he brings it back to me and then we proceed to fight over the toy. Simon usually wins because he puts all his weight into his pulls and i have little wussy arms hahaha!

My mom's dog does a similar kind of behavior but what she's trying to do is trade her toy for a chew bone. My Layla will dig to the bottom of their toy basket until she finds just the toy she was looking for. It's kinda funny to see just her butt sticking out of the basket and toys flying over the sides.

Whenever I put my dogs' toys in a basket, my oldest boy pees on the basket in protest.

You have to love dogs one way or another they will let you know how they are feeling.

I know that feeling!! My living room looks like a toy store threw up in it, lol!!

I can just imagine him thinking, oh thanks for putting all my toys in one spot for me, mom, it will be so much easier to get them out now!
