Barney's big trip to the future dog park

I heard they were going to build a new dog park in gloucester at stage fort park. I am pretty excited we do not have any in the area.

Please don't tell Barney his coat is pink my mom bought it for her female springer but it was to small and Barney thinks he look just dashing in it.

Of course the beach and all the rocks won't be included but it makes for a great view for the doggie parents.

Looks like fun! Don't worry Barney, your coat looks red to me

We have a few dog parks in our area and Libby enjoys going to them. I always keep an eye on her to make sure no one is picking on her. Some of the big dogs get in her bubble and scare her.

Mind me asking where his coat is from or the brand? I have been looking for something for Libby and this looks like a good coat!

My mom got it for 12.99 at tjmaxx Barney was quite jealous when Minie opened it but he got lucky it was not even close to minnie's size. As soon as I take out his coat or hoodie he runs up to stick his head in he loves putting them on maybe he is a chihuahua at heart.

I had a question for you Mikey usually when we are walking down the street on pavement Barney is always looking out behind him if someone is following. He also seems more hyperfocused on the people around him. When he was at the park and on grass dirt and rocks we were surrounded by people but he could havew cared less. He seemed almost in his element there. I guess not so much of a question but an observation maybe you ha insight as to why he was like that.

It is really beautiful the whole park is on the water in Gloucester so there is a beach to explore too. It is the future dog park and barney is really excited there are no dog parks anywhere around here.

I wish we were closer to the beach. I took Jake and Abby on vacation with me in September to Myrtle Beach, SC and they absolutely love it. Well, for the most part.

Abby does not like those "big" scary waves coming at her, but loves romping around in the tidal pools, chasing the birds, all the new smells, and ALL the attention she gets from strangers.

Jake, goes charging into the waves like a surfer! Chasing the birds, all the new smells, and ALL the attention he gets from strangers.

By the end of the week, if me or my husband was out alone walking only one of them, people would ask "Where is ____ (by name)". They love the attention! (they are such attention hounds!)

The only thing they didn't like was getting the sand hosed off before they could go back inside grandma & grandpa's condo!
