Another one of Mr. Buddylee’s favorite strolling parks. These photos were taken a day after a January freeze. A lot of the plants suffered the cold, but the springs stay a constant 74 degrees year around. A popular Florida attraction in the 1940’s, the beach view seen HERE is where Buddylee is being held back from testing the crystal clear water. Another vintage 40’s postcard view HERE shows an underwater boat (check out the tourist’s faces in the portholes). The fourth largest Spring in Florida, Rainbow Springs provided a tropical set for several Tarzan films and a private amusement park and zoo until the early 1970’s. This Florida State Park is a great walking park for a small, energetic Bassethound.
