Default Ok Then....

Alrighty, now we have" THAT" out of our systems. We can start again and be who we are on this forum. Maybe, we needed "THAT" to cleanse outselves , to do what everyone on here tries their best to do ,help anyone who comes here, that would like advice,or just belong to something that they have in common with a lot of other people. We don't recognize each other by face, mostly by our dogs, and that is what is important. At the heart of everything is the dogs, we ALL agree on that, am I wrong ? Because if I am, then,we either need to change this forum or leave it. Personally,I'm not in favor of setting restrictions on the general tone of things we are all adults and can choose to act that way or not. Those that choose not to well....... what can I say, if they don't here then you can bet they don't on any other forums they are part of ,and I'm sure many of us belong to other forums concerning dogs or basset hounds so that being said. We are all passionate about Basset Hounds as a breed, this is as it should be, we can disagree with each other and that is OK,do you hear me , it is OK to disagree. We are all here for the welfare of the dogs ,to be compassionate to those who suffer loss(we all will),to help those new to the breed, for me ,personally, to promote responsible breeding practices, give information out that can help others deal with the breed they chose. I'm going to start anew with a thread on things you should know concering the general health of your Basset, anyone feel free to add to it.

Halalu and Hail Mary I agree and great post. I thought that maybe when I finally came back yesterday I came to the wrong site. But my login worked so it had to be the right one.

I’m all for agreeing to disagree but to me respect is a big part of it. I know with the Italian heritage I have – I can in the snap of the fingers come across curt even when I don’t mean to – so when I post here – and I think many of you might be surprised to hear because of how I opened my heart and soul with my journey with my Flash, before I came on this site I’ve never been part of a message board because of the negativity I’ve seen for years on different ones. (non dog related but it was enough to keep me away) – But when Flash got sick I was so desperate to find help for her, that I put myself out there – and how lucky was I to come to this message board and find such a warm and carrying group of peps.

Before I post anything I try and re-read everything a few times and make sure how my words on paper come across. I think what a lot of us forget when we type on a message board or forum – we don’t have the expression of voice to emphasize our words to let others know if we’re kidding or what. We also come from all over the world and from living and working in Chicago the melting pot it is – I’ve learned that something I could read one way – how different someone else sees the same words. Am I always successful no – but I try.

Anywho – Happy New Year everyone!!!!!!

Jen~

You know bubbad I have never seen them. I would however love to see them and watch them. I will read Bubba's story in the morning that's when I am most on the computer. I am sometimes on later but not long, like now I need to get off. And also because I know I will cry and I would rather do that in the morning. I really am a sap and it always makes me think of the ones I have lost, and here I go here come the tears. Stop!!!!

miss.abbey where in Wyoming did you live? I love it here also although I have never lived any where else ha ha. Strange, how can I know. I am not much of a person that likes to live where it is to crowded. I don't know what I would do if I had to live in a city, I think I would probably commit hairy carry. You know there are some things that are not so good but sometimes I even like those. Like snow storms.........................

Jen I do as well that's why it takes me so long to post anything. I try and read to see if it even makes sense. I am always trying to make it shorter so I think some times I leave things out. And it is true they don't always come across as they were meant to. So one must be careful. And I am not always successful either.

Happy New Year
