Default First aid kit

Thinking about putting together a first aid kit for the 3 amigos and wanted some suggestions as what to put in. Have dog aspirin from petsmart. Read digel, Hydrogen peroxide, ipecac and benadryl are good to have on hand. What does everyone else have?

Dermabond, treats, Coban wrap, neosporin, treats, scissors, Pet Pectillin, treats...

All I can think of right now.

Smart!! is this for home or the car?

we actually found in going out to dog parks that a portable first aid kit for peeples also important. we bring one in my backpack.

have had to use several times (ahem, not becuz of ME of course). but some of the bigger dogs accidentally bit the peeples hands when they got too enthusiastic to get the ball, or when the person is taking the ball out of dog's mouth, etc etc. or when the peeples break up dog fight.

Honestly, I hadn't thought about it before (but a real good idea). I think I would put in hydrogen peroxide, neosporin, tape & gauze, benadryl, & scissors. I have in my car a small kit with band-aids, aspirin, heat blanket, antibacterial meds, gauze & tape (in a pinch would do for the pups). Also in my jeep is towels, blankets, & paper towels, so even without a specific kit, what I have would probably do in an emergency. Sadly, they don't travel much other than the vet and the beach. I have to assume the vet has more than I can think of, and the beach, well it's mom's condo and she is more prepared for anything than any girl scout! even aloe for sunburned bellies!

I never had a kit until last year when Annie and I started walking some serious mileage...then I started carrying a backpack with the above mentioned goodies in it. Have yet to ever need to use it but it's nice to know that it's there.

I know I listed some "stuff", but does anyone have any suggestions that I may have missed? Granted, my gang doesn't get out much, and I have most of the items in the house, but any additional ideas would certainly be appreciated.

I'd recommend a really good pet first aid book too. That has already saved Gandy's life once when he was choking and couldn't breathe. Somehow or other in my panic, I grabbed the book and looked up where to squeeze to dislodge it. They even have dog cpr in them.

I've read up on the dog cpr. Also, our local fire department now has animal oxygen masks. One of the few federal grants that are OK with me.

I was putting together my list of things to get before the puppy arrives and boy did this not come to mind. Sad thing is that now that I see you mention it I thought to myself "Duh" So for that thank you...LOL!
