Tonight my husband and I adopted a 3rd dog and while we weren't specifically looking for a basset hound, it worked out that she is one.
We met a basset/beagle mix yesterday that did not go well and this dog was also at the rescue, so we met her today. She is very shy and hasn't warmed up to us but she was very attached to her foster mom so we are giving her time. We are looking for possible new names as Ellie sounds a lot like Harley. Maybe something ending in an "ah" sound?

Ohhh..I like Tallulah. But the first name that came to mind was Hannah when you mentioned the "ah" sound.
Or maybe Ella? or Elle? or Lucinda? Miranda? Her Royal Highness? How old is the princess?
