Default Reporting to the ASPCA

I know I have only been a member here for about 2 months. However, after reading the threads and looking at the Albums (how did I miss that until now!)

It has become increasingly obvious to me that this a cabal of terrible owners who force horrible circumstances and indignities on their bassets.

Making special treats, forcing them to cuddle in blankets and beds, I even saw heating up CAR seats!!!! Designer clothing, forcing them to meet each other and romp on the beach! I could go on, but it is just too painful.

The SHAME OF IT ALL!!!

Honestly, I am thrilled I found a group so ga-ga over their fur-babies as I am!

Must admit...the first few lines of your post really had me going! LOL I kept thinking...is she serious?! Well color me gullible lol.

I couldn't agree more...finding this forum really helped to throw me over the edge of my already fanatical behavior LOL.

Basset abuse is terrible, we have discussed many times the various cuts and bruises we have all recieved at the paws of our abusers however so the coats etc are just payback lol

Indeed, the treatment they endure. Daisy just rooted me off the recliner!

LOL mine are soooooo abused, I woke up with a crick in my neck from sharing a pillow with a Basset and having a 85 pound golden retriever sleep between my legs. I just had to share my bagel and cream cheese with the 4 amigos and am still hungry and have just turned down New Years Eve in the city, because I don't want my babies to spend it with a sitter!

Yes, they are being abused, cowering in the corner with a toybox filled with toys and a pantry shelf filled with treats and biccies!

I have googled ALL of your local ASPCA's (or equivalent) and will be promptly turning each and everyone of you in, just as soon as I am done filling Jake & Abby's Kong's with Pumpkin, tucking them in the bed under the down comforter (its in the 30's tonight after all) then turning myself in (don't want to ever be accused of being a hypocrite!)

Of course, with Eclairs Mom's admission of guilt and abuse, she is #2

(really, you guys are great!)

Oh no. Well at least let me fill Penny's bowl with her favorite peanut butter and banana treats before you haul me away!
