Default Bassets at high altitude

Hey everyone, I hope you had a wonderful time with friends and family this holiday season! A question, I want to hike the highest peek in central america to welcome in the new years and I would like to take tito with me (in my back pack most of the way hehe). Just wondering if I need to ask my vet or anything we live at 10000 ft but we are going up to 14000 ft!

Thanks Guys!!

I am not sure but I bet he would be pretty happy especially being carried in your back pack. Sounds like quite the adventure.

If I were you, I would make sure I had a chiropractor lined up the minute you get back!

Might not hurt to ask the vet, but I would think he would be ok. Especially if he is being carried in your backpack!

Have fun, kids!

How much does he weigh?!? My husband and i decided you would be better with a wallace and gomit style bike and sidecar if he is as heavy as hen! [if you dont know who Wallace and Gromit are then Wikipedia is the answer lol]

Well if that isn't the cutest thing I have ever seen, I don't know what cute is!! I pull PB in Kid trailer on my bike & wish it was a sidecar everytime! The looks i get are hysterical... Especially from the kids, "Mama! She has a DOG where the kids are supposed to ride!!" i can only imagine what the locals say about Patito!" PB was also almost named Gromit! Those movies are a must see!!
