Default Santa came early...kinda

So we went to Cracker Barrel for supper with some family that are in town for the holidays. While we were waiting in the gift shop I impulsively purchased a weasel ball for Maggie to chase. You know, weasel balls?

Weasel Ball

The weighted ball that spins on its own with a furry critter attached to it? We got home tonight and popped in the battery and let her go and we haven't stopped laughing yet. She goes from alert barking attack stance to the pounce-like-a-cat-and-kill-whatever-the heck-it-is, to hiding from it under the bed and then starts all over again. At one point she had it down, weasel part in mouth, ball hanging and thumping around the side of her head, and she just looked up at me like, "why won't it DIE already?!?!"

Don't worry she's well supervised and I don't expect the weasel part to remain attached for very long. But it is sure a nice cheap way to keep her occupied on a chilly night.

I know the one you are talking about. We had one. We have it no longer. Boomer "killed" it when he was a puppy.

I picked up a Furby at a thrift store last week. The kind with batteries that walks and talks and moves its eyes and stuff. Gandy went nuts. He'll have to play with it well supervised, but it was fun.
