Smile It never ceases to amaze me

How quick Bella is when she's stealing things that don't belong to her.

She's just done a stealth move and stolen my hair clip off the arm of the chair, and it was a bit like a horror movie where the hunter silently appears and slides off into the dark with it's prey without anyone really noticing.

She's now sat on the windowsill doing her pot dog impression looking as if butter wouldn't melt in her mouth.

Barney steals EVERYTHING!!!!! He will look to see if I realize what he has in those "jaws of life"...if I don't notice, he'll prance around until I do...then he races out the dog door waiting for me to chase him around the yard. I find that if I don't get suckered into his game, he'll drop it somewhere out there without chewing up.....unless it's paper or wood..then all bets are off.

Same here. Anything is fair game; lately it was a hairbrush and various hair accessories. He has a major paper fetish.

Gandy has "trade" down pat. He knows if he steals something really important like a cell phone, he can get a dog biscuit in trade if he doesn't bite down.

I do the same thing with the "ransom treat" for the good stuff that he gets, but know that I'm just rewarding bad behavior.....once again. Bad me....but sometimes I just need to take the easy way out.

No treat, toy, thread, promise or amount of ignoring will stop him circleing the garden at a million miles per hour crunching as he goes! I am terrified one day he will swallow it. Now the sensible question is why do i leave it within his reach the clear answer is i usually dont but he can sense like a veloceraptor after an injured animal when i do!

Mine are fast as lightning too. My husband used to junk up the end table by his chair and never organized. Now, there is only a lamp and a coaster on it...Molly and Winston trained him after a couple of valuables ended up chewed beyond recognition. I am eternally grateful to my two favorite clutter-busters

Someone on another post pointed out that with the gypsies were tramps and thieves. I think the Bassets could teach them a thing or two.

thats mariah's games with socks but she learn to take the sock to her ma who will alway exchange them for a treat. If you ignore her she just drops it and goes off hunting for the matching one.
