She only gets the cone of shame if she can't be supervised, so far she's leaving the stitches alone.

ah sound like Mariah leave the stiches alone till one day before the need to be taken out and turn you back on her for 10 minutes and she has them all pulled out and saves ya a trip to the vet

LOL, no trip to the vet needed, assuming it heals well I take them out myself.

I don't know, I've never had them used for that, at least that I can recall. I don't mind taking them out, it's pretty simple. And as far as "dissolving" stitches, there's been more than one time I've found an old stitch or two on a dog I've groomed and been told they were supposed to have dissolved.
