Default planning

Plans are what normal people make when they are about to make a big change. Me and my husband will plan everything out just to have it flop. Out best things in life were impulsive ad unplanned. Abbey came to us out of impulse and so glad. When we were in texas just sitting in the kitchen having coffE I said to hubby that we should get a dog. He said I only want a basset I said ok let's look on craigslist. Looked and sure enough a ad foe 2 tri color basset females was right at the top. 100$ for both or 75 for just one which I thought was odd but called and went out to meet the girls both beautiful! BUt only wanted one the man selling them was so rude and insisted I take them both even after I explained several times I could not care for 2 well long storey short he pretty much shoved the second one in my car window! So me and abbey and lucy headed home we eventualy found lucy a good home with lots of love and care to give. We still have abbey 2 years later and everyday I see her with my family I thankgod for my impulsivness!I should ad he didn't want me to take them both so they would stay together just that" he couldn't stand them anymor"

Eh...plan schman. I've been reading quite a few posts on dog forums trying to research and figure out breed and all this great stuff. There seems to be a lot of black and white thinking. People who plan a lot = good. People who don't plan = bad. It's certainly not that simple. I think things can turn out wonderful or terrible either way. I'm not saying it's not good to plan - that's what we're doing right now. But some of my greatest things in life have been impulse and/or unplanned!

Anyways, how lovely of you to take both dogs and find one a good home. And getting rid of dogs because he "can't stand them anymore." Was he expecting the dogs to lie around all day and live for pleasing him in every moment or something? Jeesh - well those little doggies are better off now!

I think so... He lived out in the country pleanty of room for a dog. They were sister and both were 1yars old so they had em a while.. I think its becase they wernt house trained. Hell even to this day abbey still forgets about every 6 months we have to retrain her just one day she just forgets ad starts going potty in the house iTs hilarious that she can just forget something like that overnight?
Lucy is in a good home every once in a while I get a howdy all is well email from the family she owns lol.
