Hi guys, my peepz have these weird things under our Christmas tree and they say some of them have my name on them!!! So far i've been pretty good i've only gotten into 2 of them and ripped the paper a little (my fav part). Yesterday while at grandma's and grandpa's I knocked a few ornaments off of theirs but they didnt break. Here's hoping you all get a lot of presents too!!!

You look very festive, Napoleon. I was just telling Winston that I think he needs reindeer antlers for his picture with Santa.
Hope you get lots and lots of presents, too!

Bella was an xmas gift last year, and was totally fascinated by the hanging baubles on the lower branches of the tree last year, so much so that most of them ended up on the mantlepiece out of puppy nose's way.
We've not yet put the tree up this year, don't know if I can handle the stress, it will be a case of keeping everything out of her way or keeping hold of it so it doesn't end up on her bed, or in the garden. I have visions of her running away with bits of tree in her mouth and tinsel round her neck, and baubles on her tail. There will be no presents under the tree as a certain young lady dog cannot be trusted with any paper product whatsoever. ![]() Bella's motto is: If I like it it's mine. |

Hmmm, I would say that is about any basset's quote! Boomer is very fond of paper, too.

[QUOTE=nuttypigs;
Bella's motto is: If I like it it's mine.[/QUOTE] I direct you to the basset hound rules that have been posted before showing Bella is clearly a normal basset lady! Basset hound rules If I like it, it's mine. If it's in my mouth, it's mine. If I had it a little while ago, it's mine. If I can take it from you, it's mine. If it's mine, it must never appear to be yours. If it just looks like mine, it's mine. If I saw it first, it's mine. If it's edible, it's mine. If you have something and put it down, it's mine. If I chew something up, all the pieces are mine. If it get tired of it, it's yours. If I want it back, it's mine. |

Haven't had presents under my tree since I lived at home as a kid. My whole adult life, since I've lived on my own, I've always had a dog...and one who liked ripping open presents. Tinsel? Never...always had cats who would be quick to eat it.
Try putting a smaller tree on a table. Or put up the tree undecorated or with just lights and see how it goes. I resigned myself to just having lights or decorating only the top half of the tree.
