Talking On the 22nd day before Christmas two rescue Bassets gave to me....

One pee on the carpet
One mangled candle from the dining table
Six ornaments off the chistmas tee
And a pi$$ed off ***** cat!!

Was today a full moon or something symbolic or are me girls just crazy? Hubby was home ALL day with them, they were fed, watered and walked before we went out for supper for less than 2 hours and we came home to bedlem!

Someone has a sense of humor, fortunately its me! Wouldn't trade double trouble for the world!

I laughed at your post! This past week, Clifford has been extra naughty. I even checked the calendar - no full moon! Clifford has been stealing things around the house. He'll nonchalantly take something, walk by me slowly and when he knows I've seen him, he runs like crazy. It's so funny, I can't get mad at him.

Totally true. I will gate my tree I can only imagine what Barney would do to it. He is always checking around for things to get into.

I had to laugh at eclair's mom's message!

One Christmas when my first child was about three, we hung lots of chocolate Santas and snowmen on a real tree that almost touched the ceiling in our lounge and the following morning we came down to a fallen tree, baubles and tinsel all over the place, about 24 foil wrappers lying all over the room and in their bed and not a single chocolate Santa to be seen anywhere... and I'm always careful never to give human chocolate to my Bassets, who didn't come to any harm but it took ages to tidy up after them!!!

Your post made me think of our buddy Gus over at the Hounds About Town blog. Here's his take on Christmas:

Hounds About Town: A Christmas Poem by Gus

It sounds very similar to some of the above posts.
