Nice day for hike with temp about 72 degrees. Not much wildlife for them to see except 2 lizards and 1 tarantula spider. These were videos but can't seem to post them right.

How adorable.....what a wonderful day...we have had temps in the 40's and rain for the last 2 days....so much rain that the boys come in with wet bellies and feet.....keep towels by the door just to mop them up.

Dreamons....wonderful video...how in the world did you train your dogs to stay in the area without leashes? What a wonderful job you've done with them? Pockets full of treats?

I think it was Mikey T that posted something that Bassets are breed to hunt and will stay pretty close to the person. I did have to use a few treats for drop in case we come across strange poop and come. The 2 Bassets do pretty well but the puggle is more adventurous. In the one picture lookig up towards the mt you can see him about 1/2 way up. Once in a while if he get's hot he'll run back to the truck and lay underneath in the shade. If he is not ready to go he will try to run off but will come back as soon as I honk the horn.
