Default "Our Fading Bassets" or "How Bassets Age"

I feel like Bogie is fading away. Everyday he seems to be getting whiter and whiter in his face. He is only "6", but he is really getting to look like a "senior citizen".
We don't have puppy pictures since we got him when he was nine months old.

Here he is the day we got him.

Here is Bogie now!

How have your fur kids aged?? Add pics if you wish of your fur kids. Should be fun to see the changes.

Bogie looks distinguished and Annie looks like a proper lady. Maggie just turned 3 and Daisy was already a year when we got her and won't turn 2 until January. So here is Maggie

Oh what beautiful pictures! Mine don't show age so much as it shows growth...scary growth. 7 weeks and almost 9 months.

Ninja Pup:

Ninja isn't even 2 yet, so she is still at the point where she's causing gray hairs, not wearing them herself. This is what her coloring is at the moment:

We did not have Larsen as a puppy, but this is what he looks like now, at 5 and a half. Not a gray hair to be seen.

Scully, on the other hand started graying pretty early. This was her as a pup:

Then at about 5:

And at age 11:

Here is Murray a few months ago at a pet therapy event- he's 9 1/2 now. You can compare this to his avatar which was taken when he was around 5.

Wow they do change don't they? But when you think of it we change too over the years. In my opinion bassets seem to change in the most wonderful way -- they look like dogs of Wisdom and Kindness behind the graying faces and huge brown eyes and I can't help but smile each time I see one. They are just perfect when they are young and perfect as they age!

Wow, the change is amazing! But, I think it does make them look more distinguished and wise, even though they are probably just plotting something.
