We did our meet and greet Saturday with Flash, everything went well and we have adopted her. She is still getting over the Kennel Cough and worms so the shelter owner who is fostering her is going to keep her for another week, just to make sure we dont pass it to our other dogs, even though they have the Bordatella vaccine.
She is such a lovely looking Basset with an awsome personality, dispite everything she has been through. The good news is that other than the Kennel Cough and worms, her bloodwork came back good and she has put on 8 lbs and now weighs in at 28 lbs, she still has a way to go, but both I and the Rescue owner are confident that once I get her home she will trive! I am attaching a picture of her with her foster brother (who actually got adopted Saturday too) and her name has been changed to Ethel. 4 days and Ethel will be home!!!! |

Congrats! She is a beautiful girl, and I'm sure she'll thrive under your care.

Thanks Guys, I spoke to the rescue owner this morning, she is still coughing, but eating like a horse.
I have been regretting not bringing her home with me all weekend, but I know she's in good hands for a few more days. she will have my total attention for 10 vacation days starting this weekend, and she can have all the turkey she likes on Thanksgiving! I will tell you something though, If I were ever to find who did this to this poor gal I would not be able to control myself. And of anyone reading this is considering purchasing a puppy, I challenge them to think twice and really do research as to where they are coming from. |

I know how you feel with regards to the previous owners; I feel the same way about whomever had Lucy before me. Heaven help those people, should we or our dogs ever meet them again.

I once asked my husband if he would like it if Anabelle learned to talk so she could tell us what happened to her the first 8 years of her life (hypothetically). His response was no because he did not want to be a murderer.
