Default Home At LAST!

Hi Basset Pals: We are home at last!!!! Yay there is nothing like a girls own bed. Mom and Dad say I was the bestest traveller they ever met. .. I followed ALL of Moms stupid rules.
Didn't meet a rabbit but chased some black squirrels. They are fun but run up the trees and they cussed at me.
Had fun with Allie the Yorkie -- she's an old girl and would only be friends outside -- huh? In the house she just sat on a chair and watched me between snoozes.
Met my uncles Granddog -- a 11 week old Boston Terrier -- um don't tell anyone but I was um afraid of him -- too bouncy for me. But Mom says he was cute -- I say he was goofy looking -- his ears weren't long and soft like ours.
They actually had kids at their door for Halloween and I dressed up as a witch and ran and ran to the door and did my helicopter impression for them -- I like kids.
The bestest part was that my uncle and aunt fed me ALL sorts of treats from the table -- yum yum. Grammy didn't give me any coz I think she was afraid of the "wrath of Mom" whatever that is.
I really liked my Aunt Kim the best. She let me snooze on the sofa with her (my Mom won't let me at home) and she gave great ear scratches and belly rubs.
It was a good howliday -- even the border guard asked me how I was and told me to have a good trip. But its great to be home snuggled in my own bed with my own cat to chase!! The bad part of being home is that it is colder and rainy and the old weather man has mentioned snow.YUCK!!!!
Gotta go and have a beauty snooze -- catch ya later

So pleased your back Paisley! Worm has been so quiet lately Henry and i think he was pining for you[ahhhhh]
We are also pleased you met a Boston. Henry went to puppy school with a Boston called Mavis and he was -and still is - obsessed by her ears! Their first school session i spent the majority of apologising for him chomping on them! After that she realised his where fabulous for teething on and the rest is history. Even though she is a fraction of his size she can roll him and wrestle him and is very very bouncy!
Maybe as you where such a good girl for your aunty your mum wil now let you on the sofa at home, maybe you should try and see what happens!

BonJour Basset Pals (that means GoodDay or Hello) ... thanks for all the welcome backs - it means a lot.
WWoormmie I am happy to know (helicoper tails) that I am still your one and only -- I thought perhaps you had met another my pee-mail. I am sorry you lost your pal Max .. its tough to loose someone you love.
I did have a good time and yep the States are very nice ... but a lot like here... with a few differences. My uncle lives in a place called NewPort Mich. which is down river from Detroit on Lake Erie -- closer to Toledo -- well its kinda rural with these subdivisions in the middle of farmers fields so there are cows and chickens and horses down the road yet there are towns and towns and towns all over the place. He has a big fenced in yard so I ran and ran and ran and has a pond full of these orange fishes (Bowser knows about these) called Koi which I wanted to bite but couldn't coz I would get wet and drown. When they go shopping they drive for a long time sometimes even an hour or like they say only down the road -- well thats a big difference -- heck down the road here is in the wilderness -- double heck across the lake is wilderness -- no stores in
the wilderness -- so I guess you have way more peoples than we do here.
Henry -- me no like Bostons -- too jumpy for me and I don't speak Boston. I gave him a toothy smile and Mom was shocked since I never did a toothy smile before. Even Allie the Yorkie was scared and sat on Dad's knee and glared. Mom says he was cute with his little pouty face but I smelled trouble!
It is good to be home and yep my clock didn't get turned around either -- It is making me tired like WWormmies mom. It has been rainy and snowy (none on the ground) and so dark that we or should I say me is hibernating. Mr Radio man says there is black ice this morning -- hey why do they call it black ice when ya can't see it? He also said that the salt trucks were out last night -- that salt hurts your feeties and I wish they would just put sand down instead.
Today is Rememberence Day here -- its the same thing as your Vetrans Day and Mom is remembering her Grandpa who was is WWI and would now be 111 years old. He ran away and joined the army at 14 and they found out his age and caught up with him in France but I don't think they sent him home but had him look after the horses instead. We will also remember Henrys Dad and everyone else today and hope they come home soon safe and sound to their houndies and families..... we have a lot to be grateful for because of guys like them.
Wworrmie I hope to see you one day but for now we just hafta make do .......
Love Pais

Paisley-- parlez-vous Francais?
of course ur my one & only! sounds like a fun trip to Michigan. My person went to live in Ann Arbor, Michigan one summer & liked it a lot. but it wasn't as rural a place as u were describing. but it was kewl that she met a number of peeples who built (themselves!) their homes. plus, going kayaking on the lakes there was a popular thing to do, so she did that too.

that's a kewl story about your Great Grampa-- 111 years old, that would be quite old!

my person's high school friend had a Boston terrier that her Grampa (with a sense of humor) named S.ir O.liver B.oston-- do u get the joke?

Hi: Worrmmie asked me a question so I will answer then translate -- he asked me if I spoke French -- Je ne parle pas Francais. Ma mere parle un peu Francais. I told him I do not speak French but my Mom speaks a little French.
Where we live it is said that 40% of peoples list french as their mother tongue but only about 20% use it as a first language. Even though Mom comes from a French Canadian family and studied french well into high school she is definately not a french speaker and certainly won't speak in front of her french friends although she can understand quite well. It did tho serve her well this summer while in Greece and Turkey. While on tour in Turkey the only other two people on the tour were French and had limited use of English -- the guide spoke both languages and it turned out spoke much more French than English so since she and my sister could understand, most of the tour was carried out in french -- well until my moms brain got tired of translating and had a brain fart and she got a headache from trying to keep translating things then she made the guide use both languages.
As for me the only french I know is French Poodles and French Frys !!!!
