Default Post surgical question

Maggie Mae was spayed last Tuesday. She has been recovering well, maybe taking a bit longer naps between naps, lol. But...she has shed so much since she got home that there are some bare patches on her belly and under her front legs. Now, her normal coat is not very thick at all, and with her B&W coloring you can always see her skin on her belly. But now it is bare in places. She has always tended to be a shiver-y dog and gets cold fast when we go outside.
I wonder if it is a side effect from the surgery, just because when I had some surgery several years ago, I lost a lot of hair myself.
Does this sound normal? She is not scratching more than normal or acting in any way different.

Maybe it could be from stress? Not sure, just a guess.

Yes, any form of stress can cause shedding.

Daisy was spayed recently and she also shed alot after. Not to the extent there were any bare patches though. I assumed it was either the stress or the anesthesia. Her coat seemed back to normal in just a few weeks.

True but one also needs to consider that given the shortening day that is likely to be the biannual shed as wel.

How is Maggie Mae doing now? Mabel was also spayed and is getting her stitches out tomorrow. Thank God – other than the first day after surgery she’s been doing great. In fact the biggest problem I have with her is trying to keep her still so she can rest.

Hope Maggie is also on the upward mend.

Well my Maggie Mae she acts like her usual self, short bouts of manic energy followed by lotz o naps.

But she threw up today outside, hub said it looked like stomach bile, yellowish and phelm-y?!? She has eaten a little since then of regular kibble and kept it down fine.

Headed to the store in a bit anyway, so I thought I'd pick her up a little pureed pumpkin, shouldn't hurt til we can call the vet tomorrow, right?
