Barney's sisters

Barney has been part of our family for almost two months. Here are some pics of him sneaking in nap with my other dogs. This is a huge thing for my girls..
This is barney with my 10 year old dachshund Daisy. She is a very territorial and dominant little girl.

My other 10 year old doxie Sadie who is super friendly sometimes even to dogs as long as daisy is not around.

This is the love of Barney's life my 3 pound chihuahua Lola. She is the only one who will play with him even though sometimes he will lose his balance and topple on her.

What a sweet little family Barney has

Incidentally, Molly's first non-basset friend was a Chihuahua named Lolly that she met at the vet's puppy party. Lolly scared Molly at first, but then they became friends.

Wonderful pictures! My kids would bring over their older dogs to play with my Barney but they weren't interested in playing with him at all..awfully heart breaking to watch..so..I got him a puppy and they play, sleep, eat together 24-7. Worked out way above my expectations. The older dogs still come over but now Barney is very protective of the pup..continually chases them from getting close...alot of barking and posturing. Don't quite know what to do about that....very unlike him.

It is funny a big puppy playing with a 4 pound dog. He only uses his head and the front of his paws. She sits in the back cushion and he sits on the couch they are very noisy too. Sadie and daisy will snap at barney if they think he is bugging lola to much or if their playing annoys them.

OHHHHHHHH – they are so cute and I’m soooooo jealous of your fur babies – After almost three months the only way that Mable can lay down next to Lucy is when Lucy is passed out cold and doesn’t know she’s there – I have a couple photos somewhere I’ll post of them – Congratulations though on your beautiful babies.
