Default Dog Toys

Millie has a few dog toys I'm going to have to regulate to the yard or something...

First, she has a dark brown plastic squeaky bear. She loves it. The problem? It looks like a giant pile of poo. Every time I see her playing with it, I think she is running around with poo in her mouth! If she leaves it on the floor, I start getting out the cleaning supplies because I think someone pooed on the floor!

Millie got a stuffed squeaky rat at a Halloween Party we went too. It is very life like, and when she runs around with it in her mouth, it's head hangs down and the tail on the rat also droops out of her mouth. If I don't realize she has it, I keep freaking out thinking its a rat in her mouth. Last night, I found it on my bed. I screamed...

These two dogs toys have to go, I think...
Anyone else having toy issues?

Henry cant sleep without his snoring bear, if we loose it or its wet out we have to find it/ dry it before he will go to bed. It is very embarrasing when your late to meet people to have to admit why you where late!
Also its not very manly for a big basset to need his baby bear!

I'm still looking for toys that Boomer can't tear up or shred. It can say that it's hard to destroy or whatever on it, and Boomer can have it chewed up in a blink.

He would be a very good test dog for toys.

Millie is like that sometimes about her stuffing-less raccoon. Its ripped to bits, and the squeakers have long since died, but she still loves it. Have you purchased extra bears, for when this one ultimately dies? By the way, where did you get it?

For Boomer, have you tried the fire-hose toys?

Charlotte has a stuffing free rabbit and LOVES it too! This is her 3rd one and it needs replaced too. She rips out the squeakers and lays around chewing on it for hours. I say "go get your ball Charlotte" and she is off to find that silly rabbit haha

Its a Martha Stewart Petsmart bear and shhhhh dont tell but we are on bear number 4 and i may have a whole bunch in the kitchen drawer! We thought we would make him grow out of it and for a week when the last one died we didnt replace it, we had 5 nights of sleeplessness, naughtiness, waking us up and a very bad tempered basset boy because he was tired. So i bought a new one, he took it to bed and went straight to sleep! So long as we have a bear we can sleep from 9pm to 7am!!!

Boomer, the kong wubba i think it is we have found to be pretty indestructable. We have the bear with 4 tail pieces and hen kills it on a daily basis but it still looks good as new

That sounds exactly like Millie and her raccoon! Sometimes I will throw it in the washer when its gross, and Millie will sit there by the washer and wait for it.

What does the Martha Stewart bear look like? I know you have talked about it before, and I looked at PetSmart, but I didn't see it. I thought it might be something Millie would like.

I buy stuffed animals at the thrift store. They are cheaper, and when they get ripped apart, I don't feel bad. I think the dogs like them because most smell like a little kid already.

I bought Abby her favorite kind of ball this Saturday. It squeaks and is soft latex. she doesn't like the hard latex toys. Within 20 minutes, I was fixing the squeaker...

Anyone have any tips? I can't afford a new squeaky ball every 20 minutes!

I have resorted to putting it up on top of the fridge unless we are actively fetching. Otherwise she just gnaws on it and the squeaker either falls inside (which I can usually fix) or falls out (which I am scared to death she will swallow).
