Default bicyclists!!!

Porter was hit by a bicyclist today, when crossing the street. We were almost at the sidewalk and the guy came out of nowhere and hit him on the back and ran over my dog. Porter was hit so hard he rolled over and gave out the saddest little yelp. I wish my dog was ferocious so he can bite the bicyclist. I hate Boston bicyclists, they don't obey road rules and they ignore the pedestrians. I am so mad so I am here venting...

FYI the bicyclist said he though my dog would move out of his way and that's why he didn't even bother to slow down or go around the dog!!!

Damn Bikers! (the cyclist are far worse than real bikers!) I hope Porter is OK and not injured. Tho' he will probably be wary of the two wheelers from now on.

Personally, I find cyclist to be a real pain in the butt and a hazard to auto/pedestrian traffic. they seem to think they own the road, sidewalk, whatever.... And don't get me started on the shorts they wear!

That bicyclist ran over a dog who looks like this!! What a jerk!

All the cars stopped for me and the dog and this guy didn't even slow down.

Thank goodness Porter seem to be alright. No limp or anything and we still walked home and he can still climb stairs. His back paw is a bit scratched up and I think that where the bike hit him. Cleaned the paw and put some neosporin on the scratches. If a limp develops, we'll definitely go to the vet. I have being giving him tons of treats and rubbing his back leg and paw and he really enjoyed that.

What a jerk! I'm so sorry Porter!

That man certainly gives other cyclists a bad name! Did he even stay around to see if Porter was ok?

The guy apologized but I was still really mad. I mean he took a pretty bad fall too but still. Porter is just a dog and the cyclist didn't even bother to slow down, or yell that he is coming or just go around the dog. I wish this guy had a bell or something to let people know he is coming. I mean I can't be looking over my shoulder every 5mins to see if someone is going to run me over. If I was holding on to a young child instead of a stumpy legged dog, there could have being some serious damage. Porter had a nice thick wool sweater on, so that protected his body from the pavement.

And this isn't the first time something like this happened. I was by myself that time and the cyclist did the same thing. I almost fell because he was biking so close to me and was going super fast. And he yelled at me for getting in his way!! Some of these boston cyclists are just unbelievable.
