Penny, the staffy has finally been outsmarted. She'd been escaping out of our newly installed fence. It was to the point we couldn't let her out while we were gone. One day I came home to find her tied to a tree by the neighbor. When I got inside the house I saw that she had removed the locking cover from the doggy door and had dug out again. We tried Mikey's idea of using chicken wire and running it along the ground and up the bottom of the fence. We gave her a few days before we let her have free access again and she pulled the staples from the fence and escaped again. I finally called the company who did the install and they came out and brought chain link. As with the chicken wire, I ran it along the ground and firmly attached it to the fence. It's been two weeks now and unless she learns how to use a claw hammer I think we've fixed this little girls wagon.

Lol, we had a pitbull, who at 11 1/2 passed last november. When we brought her home as a pup, we put her in a crate, got home from work, and she was running around the house, she tore the wires out enough to squeeze through. Anytime we would put her in a fence, she would grab the fence and shake her head until she broke it to get out. Thankfully we live enough away from the road to be able to let her out in the yard. I'm surprised she never lost any teeth..lol. Hopefully your dog isn't quite so determined, and will stay in for you.
